8/10/05

Went out to breakfast at the Mill Whistle today it was good, I was reading Life Mag in our kitchen this afternoon and I stumbled across an article about the Little League World Series. Ok, I'm no fan of baseball, I really don't understand the game, except my prior times as kick-ball queen, but I am a fan of baseball guys. The team just has the nicest, best looking single guys on it. Probably the reason the majority of them are single is because baseball takes up all their time. Also, come on I'm a tennis girl and we feel that a tennis racket and a baseball bat have something in common. Anna and Tim Linner are together and have been for a while and Ilene just decided to go after the entire community college team, but was very upset to find out that they had a game on prom night. But again think of the other athletic team guys.

Swimming - They get too much joy out of speedo's and are rumored to all be questioning their sexuality.

Cross Country - Cute, but very tall and lanky normally.

Football - Got a few hot ones, got a good mix of guys, but you can't tell them apart in those uniforms.

Golf - Hot, some of them, but too mature, quiet acting; have some fun!

Basketball - Where are the white boys?

Soccer - Goofy, majority hard partiers. "Yeah! We won the game! Let's get a keg!"

Tennis - Goofy and cocky bunch with long hair and aviators who think they are all a bunch of pros.

Track - Lacking white boys

Bowling - Enough said, that sport has to be the dorkiest un-sport on the planet. Does not keep people in shape, lots of fat bowlers.

I've been thinking lately (a rare moment) ha! LOL JK about how high school is and how I thought it would be compared to how it is. I think God has given me what I need, but I dont necessarily think I'm going to get what I want right now. Right now I think I'm being shown who I am and the independent side of me I do not need to depend on girlfriends all the time. I do not need a boyfriend right now. I drive my own car, earn my own money, do my own work and make my own friends. I have no problem eating out by myself, while some other people would never do that. Yes, I am Miss Independent and it is going to get me far.

Well the first 2 days of school are over. I had to go to homeroom, which is really boring. I am the only senior in there and nobody talks to me except for the teacher. First period I don't have a class, so I do homework or run errands. AP Lit is fun, I have Mr. Drake, who is hilarious. Friday I was late so I sat where Brian saved me a seat. He's probably been my best guy friend since elementary school. Rumor has it that he is gay and has a boyfriend, but I don't believe everything I hear off the internet, I feel like if it's true and he wants me to know he'll tell me himself. I have AP Art after AP Lit. I am drawing with Davin and this other girl, who I should know because I went to homecoming with her, but I can't remember her name and I sit behind Brian who is doing AP Art 3-D with Allen. Lunch is great. I sit with a bunch of really nice girls with very different personalities. Mel Stevens (who rocks on), Lani Lin (very smart, AP Calculus!), Lindsay Baker (looks like Misha Barton and knows it), Ella Night (has loads of redneck brothers, major chorus girl), Larissa Lin (very quiet, does yearbook), Nicole (sweety, but kinda blonde), Sasha Graman (kinda boho, but a sweety. If she lived in the '60s she would be taking a VW bus to California to protest something about now). I get off early so I leave with a lot of other duel enrollers. First day saw William. I dropped my papers out of my folder and was picking them up from all over the sidewalk when he walked by and asked if I was all right down there. That's really kinda sweet. Maybe he's not such a loser. Hello Whitney, you need to move on. Ha, move on to what?! The only guy I talked to recently is Brian, who's probably gay. I went to Youth tonight, lots of fun. It was Nicole's birthday (I forgot) Oh no! I'll get her a gift soon. Nallie and I are in charge of the church float we are going to have this year. Fun! It was great praying with the girls. I got the pants this time. I hope something interesting happens while I wear them. Alexis, Nelson, Nicole, Veronica, Neil, Abigail, Ross, Nallie and I went to grab some food after Youth at Wendy's, it was a lot of fun. I had fries and a frosty, then I drove Ross, Nallie and Neil home.

8/3/05

Today was awesome, Mom called and woke me up at 10 saying orientation was at 10 and of course after getting dressed and taking a shower I was late. Walked around the entire campus trying to find my schedule. Ran into Nelly Ross, I haven't seen her in forever. She is as sweet as ever! She might be going to my high school. Hurray! Saw Coach Kellson, talked about tennis, got my schedule in the gym and while walking to the main building I got waved to crazily by William, while his friend tried to hid him from my sight. Ha! Maybe I shouldn't forget about William. Went to my first class, AP Eng Lit with Mr. Drake (Absolute coolest teacher ever!) He remembers me from the 9th grade! Mel's going to be in my class. Great to see her. Ran into Michelle Yates, Lani Lin, Larissa Lin and Ella Night. Mel Stevens still around Nicole! Fun to see all of them. While talking to Nicole ran into Mr. Richardson (Yea! He told me I'm beautiful and he told William I'm hot! Got to love that guy!) He gave me a big hug. Yeah I feel loved. Walking to the parking lot, I ran into Keith and Edward (very dorky, but nice guys, although they tend to get on my nerves). Also on my way to the parking lot I got the whole head bob'n - hand waving thing from Greg Jones. Really nice/fun guy, but too quiet for me. Around everyone, except for his baseball buddies, he doesn't say much. Went to a mall about an hour away with Ginger and Mary Ella shopping, bought stuff at American Eagle, Hollister and Old Navy. I bought green cargo capris, a maroon cami, brown henley with beading, a collard shirt with baby doll sleeves, and a white wife-beater. Had a grand time. Tomorrow is the first day of school, I must get some sleep. Night, night don't let the bed bugs bite.

8/2/05

I was reading the newspaper and eating left over chinese takeout this morning when I came across an obituary for a homeless man. I realized that God must have wanted me to see it. Here this man was homeless and poor yet he gave more than most people do.

Ways we should follow John Bell Weyman's example:
Be grateful
Improve your surroundings
Help others
Work hard
Be resourceful
Be honest/trustworthy
Continue learning

Washed my car then went to work today. Sat one really hot dude who rolled in. Whoever said hot guys had to have all their limbs? I pulled the chair out like I do for all people who come in wheeling chairs, then he gave me a dirty look and his mom said he gets out and sits in regular chairs. How was I suppose to know that, all the old people stay in their wheelchairs to eat. Mom thinks that he probably lost his legs in Iraq and that I insulted his manliness and wrecked his ego by pulling out the chair. Come on, I have more important things to worry about than the frail egos of every male I come in contact with. I walked all around the mall after work to find a planner. I tried Target and Books-A-Million, but it was impossible to find a decent planner. Come on, I don't know how people function without one! Finally I found one at Office Max. Yeah! Went home and celebrated Eliza's 4th birthday. She was excited and liked her Carebear cupcakes. Holy can't even say my name, but cake is one of her favorite things to say (fatty). I had to go pick up Abigail from cheerleading captain's meeting over in Stonegate. She thinks I'm her chauffer or something to drop her off and pick her up whenever she calls, come on!

7/31/05

Wonderful day at the beach yesterday. I walked a really long time and floated along. Today I left the beach around 7:45 a.m. so that I could be at work by 11. Got somewhat lost. Very surprised that Dad let me drive the company car. I accidentally passed 75 and ended up driving 30 minutes out of the way on 65 and had to turn around. Work was fun. Talked to three old men pretending to be the three stooges and told them about the song Redneck Yacht Club, which cracks me up. Talked to this old lady and told her about how much I ate last night (2 starters, fried shrimp, salad, potato, clam chowder, hushpuppies and then ice cream) Whoa! Lot of food there! Talked or flirted with a cute boy, "Ryan" (one of the nice types of customers who holds the door open for everyone to hangout near my podium). After work I stopped by McDonalds Drive Thru. When I got home Abigail gave me some disturbing news about what Nathan was up to on the church beach retreat. Eva said she saw him with two girls skinny dipping in the hotel pool. Come one, on a church trip!! Nathan is a friend of mine, but when it comes to girls other than friends he's kinda tasteless. He's really good looking, but unless you're a slut, most girls don't want to go with a player who's longest relationship was a week and the average is two days. Speaking of church, there hasn't been any Youth in the past two Sundays because of Youth Week and the Sunday before I was in Homassassa. I miss praying with my girls.
